Discover the perfect farmhouse style for your laundry room using these 15 farmhouse laundry room design ideas as inspiration!

As many of you know, our current home does not have the luxury of a laundry room… We’re stuck doing laundry in the garage (which is NO FUN!) and dreaming of one day adding on to our garage and turning half of our existing garage into an real laundry room.

Well, like my normal self, I’ve already spent lots of time dreaming up what this (long-way-off) renovated space will look like. I’ve dreamed up just about all of the laundry room design ideas I can come up with because, why not? 😉

There are so many different ways to add farmhouse style to a laundry room and if you’re dreaming of a place to fold towels that looks like a room straight out of Fixer Upper, then these rooms are going to make you giddy.

After looking through just about every farmhouse laundry room on Pinterest, I thought it would be fun to share with you all my favorite 15!

Use these rooms as inspiration as you mull over laundry room design ideas and bring to life your own farmhouse style laundry room!

Enjoy, my friends!

15 Fabulous Farmhouse
Laundry Room Design Ideas

Common Elements for Farmhouse Laundry Room Design Ideas

  • Shiplap
  • Neutral Paint Colors
  • Natural Elements (like baskets/bins or counter tops)
  • Greenery
  • Metal Elements (like hooks, light fixtures or baskets)

You’ll notice most of the inspiring rooms in this post include at least two of the components listed above. Which is typical, because the farmhouse style is known for each of those things.

If you can’t afford to do an entire room makeover, try adding in each of these as you can! Maybe start by changing your storage bins to natural ones. Then add in a green plant. Then paint the walls a neutral color.

The process of transforming your laundry room into a fabulous farmhouse style can easily be done in stages, so don’t worry if you have to take your time. I’ll likely be doing just that whenever we get to doing our renovation!

Well, let’s get to it, shall we? Here are my 15 favorite farmhouse laundry room design ideas incorporated into stunning spaces.

1. VIA TWELVE ON MAIN

I love the combination of the white shiplap and the white subway tile. Plus, it wouldn’t be farmhouse without a metal light fixture and an apron-front sink!

2. Via Household No. 6

These blue/gray cabinets have me swooning! I also love the geometric rug and wood counter tops and floating shelves.

3. Via Dear Lillie

Black and white contrast is a large element of the farmhouse style and this laundry room does it perfectly. I love the long window seat (see how to make one here) and the white shiplap!

6. Pottery Barn Via Brit + Co

This farmhouse laundry room includes some touches of blue making it take on even a bit of a coastal feel. The hanging drying rack and ironing storage are neat elements!

7. Via HGTV

This combination laundry room and mudroom has everything it needs to be beautiful AND functional. Closed storage, locker seating, large sink and durable flooring. All of the white makes it bright and cheerful!

8. Via Jenna Sue Design

This may be one of my all-time favorite farmhouse laundry rooms. Jenna Sue is extremely talented and I can’t get enough of her designs.

Love the subway tile, black fixtures, floating wood shelf and counters and apron front sink. I mean, what’s not to love about this room??

9. Via Studio McGee

Studio McGee is filled with talented designers and typically known for it’s high-end designs. I love the dark herringbone tile, the large-gap shiplap and galvanized light fixture in this classic farmhouse laundry room.

10. Via Fixer Upper

Of course, can’t have a list of farmhouse laundry rooms without including one of Joanna’s designs! Love how the old styled floor tile pair painted brick. The greige cabinets and arm sconce also gives this laundry room some serious character!

11. Via Home Bunch

This laundry room is so bright and cheery I feel like I would actually enjoy spending time in here doing laundry! Fun characteristics and ideas include the patterned floor, the BLACK apron front sink and the laundry basket on casters.

Giant. Sliding. Barn. Door.
Enough said… 😉

13. Via Decor Pad

In addition to lovely built-in lockers, this laundry room includes a cozy upholstered bench for sitting to put shoes on. I like that the washer and dryer are in an adjoining room with a door so you can close them off when they’re running to lessen the noise.

14. Via Urban Grace Interiors

Have I ever mentioned before how much I adore mint green cabinets? These are more on the greenish/grey spectrum, but are equally as fabulous.

Plus, with that old-school apron front sink and marble counter tops, you can’t go wrong! The brass sconce is an unexpected addition of color and accentuates the woven baskets below.

15. Via Studio McGee

Another classic, and stunning Studio McGee design. The fiddle fig and antique farmhouse print add just a touch of farmhouse style to the simple space.

So, what do you think? Aren’t they all beautiful?? Like I said, I’m dreaming. 😉
