Happy Friday, friends! I had a request recently from one of my favorite people to share a few of the design bloggers I follow, and a little insight on how I find NEW people to follow. Thus, I’ve decided to share my favorite design bloggers for today’s 5 Friday Favorites! I’d encourage you to head over and check out each of their sites! Many of them have other things to tune into too – like podcasts, Facebook groups, and online courses.
As far as how I find people to follow – my primary source of discovery is on Pinterest. Most (if not all) bloggers have “Rich Pins” on Pinterest, meaning when you click on a pin from their site it will show you the name of the post and the blog it came from. Next time you’re mindlessly pinning beautiful pictures, click on them and see who’s blog they’re from! You may discover you’re pinning and drawn to a lot from the same blogger.
I hope today’s 5 Friday Favorites helps you find a new favorite blogger to follow – second to ME, of course! 😉
BRILLIANT DESIGN BLOGGERS YOU NEED TO FOLLOW
1. LITTLE HOUSE OF FOUR
Katie just announced at the beginning of this month that she has quit her day job to blog full time! I’m so excited for her! She’s big on DIY crafts and budget-friendly home decorating. I’ve tried many of her DIY’s including her wood bead garland and Christmas candle holder. She also has a Facebook group for people to share their projects and get feedback/tips on decorating. If you like to be crafty and decorate your home affordably, she’s a great resource!!
2. BLESS’ER HOUSE
Lauren is a cute southern gal that shares lots of fun DIY home improvement projects and tutorials. They just moved into a new home this last year, so they’ve been doing lots of projects recently! She’s the one that gave me the idea to paint my shower doors in our bathroom makeover last October and she also did a similar brick backsplash to ours in their prior home. Head her way if you want great tutorials on ways to DIY improve your home!
3. CHRIS LOVE JULIA
Chris and Julia are a really sweet and inspirational husband-wife duo. They primarily share their experiences as they work through their DIY home renovations and they also have a design podcast where they talk about their projects, discuss current trends, and answer reader questions.
4. DESIGNER TRAPPED IN A LAWYER’S BODY
Tasha is a fabulous artist and loves to help people design and curate a home they love. She’s was a lawyer for 16 years before she followed her dream into full time blogging and has been extremely successful! I love her free printables and she’s got a new product coming out soon that’s going to be AMAZING! I’m hoping she approves me to be an affiliate so I can share it all with you. 🙂
5. STUDIO MCGEE
Studio McGee has turned into a full-fledged, prestigious interior design firm, but they first started as a stay-at-home mom doing design projects on the side! Their blog is primarily documentation of their work and design trends, but their style is utterly resistible and I think you’ll really enjoy it. They also have a full line of interior design products at McGee & Co. to choose from. You really can’t go wrong with them – it’s beautiful design at its finest. 😉
I hope one of these blogs fits your taste and inspires you! Let me know which one becomes your favorite!!
