Come take a tour of our elegant, white and gold Christmas tablescape! We’ve set the scene with lots of tall candles, gold silverware and flocked greenery to create a beautiful Christmas table garland centerpiece!
I love the holidays… not just because we get to spend lots of time celebrating with family, but because there’s always some sort of formal table to set! 😉
Gathering tablescape inspiration and crafting it into a beautiful table for dining is one of my favorite ways to be creative!
For this year’s table, I decided to go for an elegant white tablescape with lots of tall candles, gold accents and a flocked Christmas table garland centerpiece.
I hope this tour of our Christmas tablescape gives you some inspiration for decorating your holiday table this year!

WHITE & GOLD TABLESCAPE
WITH A CHRISTMAS TABLE
MATERIALS & COST
Before we start the tour of photos, I wanted to break down for you all of the items that went into this tablescape so you can easily recreate it (or something similar) in your home.
The best part about this tablescape was the fact that I didn’t have to buy much to create it and with my thrifty shopping I only spent about $50 total!
Let me break it down for you:
- White Tablecloth (already owned)
- White Plates (already owned)
- Linen Napkins (already owned)
- Gold Flatware (an early birthday present!)
- Wine Glasses (already owned)
- Neutral Runner (already owned)
- Flocked Faux Garland ($10 from Walmart)
- Faux White Poinsettias ($1/ea from Walmart)
- Faux Birth Logs ($2.50/ea from Lowes)
- Gold Candlestick Holders ($8 total from Goodwill)
- White Candlestick Holders ($8 total from Goodwill and $3 spray paint from Home Depot)
- White Taper Candles ($7 from Michael’s)
- Gold Jingle Bells ($3 from Michael’s)
- Cork Tree Name Tags (Greenery picks $5 total from Michael’s)
The total cost of the decor I purchased for this tablescape was only $50!
And the best part is, I’ll have the garland and candleholders for future tablescapes! Did I mention how much I love setting tables? 😉
Welcome to our elegant white and gold Christmas table!
I knew I wanted a long runner of greenery and this Christmas table greenery centerpiece turned out just how I’d dreamed it up.
I found the set of five gold candlestick holders at Goodwill and they were too pretty to spray paint so I left them gold.
I’m really glad I did!

They add a simple touch of sophistication to the centerpiece.
The other four candlestick holders were also thrifted and mis-matched so I simply spray painted them white to match the rest of the decor.
I wrapped the large plates in my linen napkins to create a mix of playful and formal. The wrap placement lets their form stay soft and flexible but keeps them in place for a nice place setting.
I made the name place holders out of corks and faux greenery. The jingle bell adds another bit of playful Christmas style to the plate and continues the gold color from the candlesticks holders and silverware.

My son, Andrew, was really excited that I photographed his spot at the table. 😉
The faux poinsettias and birch logs add some dimension to the Christmas table garland centerpiece by adding a few more natural elements to the display.
I can’t wait to see how the table looks in the evening when it’s dark outside!
Isn’t the long row of tall candlesticks so pretty?
I have to be honest, gold silverware is my new obsession… It’s just so stunning and elegant!
What do you think of this simple Christmas table garland centerpiece? Pretty easy way to make a stunning tablescape, don’t you think?
Only a few more days until we get to linger at this table over filet minion and red wine… Yay! Oh, have I mentioned before that I’m a foodie? If not, I am. Like BIG TIME. 😉
I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and make lots of fabulous memories with your friends and family!
