Happy Tuesday! If you are following along on social media, you probably already heard, but I got some really exciting news this last week – Shutterfly asked to use a picture of my Farmhouse Bathroom as a feature on their “Ways to Decorate a Small Bathroom” online interactive! This is my first online presence other than the blog, so it’s extremely encouraging for me. My goal for this blog is to inspire and it’s neat to see that others really are getting inspired by my creativity! If you have a chance, I would encourage you to pop over and take a look at their interactive via the link above, it’s really neat. 🙂
Another fun thing I’m doing right now is helping my mom and step-dad gut and makeover their bathrooms. Their home was built in the 70’s and has a jack-and-jill style bathroom set up where the master is a half bath with a door to the full bath. See my layout diagram below:
Here are a few shots of the bathroom currently. As you can see, it has never been updated. The fixtures are all original from when it was built in the 70’s.
They have wanted to updated/makeover these bathroom for some time now, so with our help, we’re going to get it done! 🙂 We’ve already met and planned out their vision, as well as ordered some of the items for the makeover.
The plan is to gut both bathrooms (minus the ceramic tub) and put in all new vanities, mirrors, light and plumbing fixtures, toilets, paint, floors, shower surround and trim.
Below, I’ve put together a mood board so you can get an idea of what our vision is!
We plan to complete the project over one long weekend, with three people working most of three days. I’ll be sure to post the progress as we go along, but for now, that’s all I’ve got! I hope you have a wonderful week and I’ll be back in a few days with a fun DIY Tutorial for making a bread box into a charging station.
Thanks again for reading along, I really appreciate you! 🙂
