Sophisticated Fall Home Tour 2020

It’s time for another seasonal home tour and for this fall I’ve gone with a sophisticated color scheme of purple, blue and orange!

I always love redecorating for the seasons based on what I’m loving at that moment.

And right now – I’m digging the deep purple florals and touches of pale orange!

So, our Fall 2020 decor took on a sophisticated style with lots of florals and a few pumpkins sprinkled in. ๐Ÿ™‚

I hope you enjoy the tour!

My Fall 2020 Home Tour

Let’s start in the entryway!

Don’t you just love how that wall looks with the shiplap wainscoting and the built-in shoe cabinet? I’m so glad we put those in earlier this year…

As for my fall decor, I kept this space simple.

Just a small floral bouquet, tray and pumpkin on the cabinet and a fall sign on the coat hooks!

I love the orange ball stems and the velvet pumpkins I got at Hobby Lobby – aren’t the so cute?!

And this sign is one of my faves.

Over on the window seat I added some orange pillows and a green throw blanket.

We’ve been using the window seat a lot lately for relaxing!

Over in the dining room we’ve got more orange, purple and blue flowers, along with some simple candles and pumpkins.

My mom made me the ceramic pumpkin a few years back – it’s decorated with napkins and modpodge and I just love it!

So unique.

The hydrangea bouquet on the console table is the same one I typically have on my dining room table for spring and summer, I just added some seasonally colored stems.

Adding seasonally colored items to my already existing decor is one of my favorite ways to keep seasonal decorating affordable!

Plus, the green and purple stems can easily be used for spring/summer too.

Now, let’s head over to the living room!

I am IN LOVE with the purple flowers in this space!

My very favorite is this bouquet on the piano…

The mix of colors and textures gives me all the feels.

Plus, it’s a great focal point for that piano wall!

Most of the decor on my mantel is new this year – it’s not often I splurge on all new decor, but I really wanted this color scheme and didn’t have much to build off of.

If you’re wondering, I got all of the decor at 50% off and ended up spending just $175 on all of it.

So yes, still budget friendly!

In an effort to keep the mantel simple, I rehung our gold mirror in the center. I just really love the look of a mirror above the mantel, and it goes with everything!

I fell in love with the idea of deep purple dahlias from this picture and decided to replicate it with a sunflower to bring in the yellow/orange color scheme.

You may not believe it, but I’ve never owned basic pillar candle holders! So I chose to get these grey ones and I love how they look with a pumpkin atop them!

I love the way this decor is definitely fall-ish but not overly “in-your-face” fall. ๐Ÿ˜‰

As always, I added something to my wood basket – this year it was my over-sized pinecones!

To continue the colors throughout the room I added a purple throw to the couch and a simple purple pumpkin atop a tray on the coffee table.

To finish it off I made sure there were pumpkins throughout, like this white one on the piano:

And this blue/green one on the mantel!

Pretty fun, huh? I love the way this room turned out.

Cozy and sophisticated. ๐Ÿ˜‰

And the best part? Every flower in this house is artificial! No need to worry about them dying before the season’s over AND I can use them again next year.

Boom.

  1. You did a lovely job! I love these colors; they are so much prettier than the usual fall colors. To me, they are soothing. And the colored pumpkins are so cheerful!
