A beautiful blue and green mantel that will last from spring all the way through summer. Give these simple modern farmhouse-style summer mantel decorating ideas a try on your fireplace mantel this season!
I realized last year as I decorated my home for spring, that I typically leave my spring decor up throughout the summer months and don’t redecorate again until the fall.
We spend so much of our summer time outside and working on outdoor projects, that I’ve never felt a need to change up the decor inside for summer.
With that in mind, I decided to decorate my mantel this spring in such a way that it will look fabulous all summer long. 🙂 I hope these simple summer mantel decorating tips will help you put together a mantel you can enjoy for both seasons!
SPRING & SUMMER
If you’re new to the blog, I’m sure you noticed I have a non-traditional, rounded corner fireplace.
I’ll be honest, it was quite an unsightly spot when we purchased the house a few years ago (in fact, the realtor said it was the reason a lot of potential buyers didn’t buy the place!) but with a nice coat of white paint and a DIY wood mantel, it has been transformed into a beautiful focal point in our family room. 🙂

Decor on My Summer Mantel:
- Large Square Mirror
- 2 Bunches of Tall Floral/Greenery Stems
- 2 Clear Vases (of different sizes)
- 2 Small Greenery Plants
- 2 Small Pots
- Small Pitcher
- Small Floral Bouquet
- 3 Vintage Books
- Wood Bead Garland
The blue, square mirror used to be pink (we spray painted it when we decorated my son’s nursery years ago) and was in my daughter’s room for quite a while.
She recently started sharing a room with my son so I snagged this mirror for the mantel. Shopping my home is one of my favorite ways to redecorate without spending money!
This clear glass vase came from my Goodwill trip this week and I made the wood tassel garland.
