This post was sponsored by Worx Tools as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central but all opinions and ideas expressed in my post are my own.
In my opinion, creating and building DIY projects is only fun and successful when you have the right tools for the job.
We’ve made all sorts of projects with the wrong tools and it’s honestly so frustrating!
Which is why I’m SUPER excited to introduce you to the Worx MakerX Tools.
These tools are a DIY’er’s dream!
And, not only do I get to partner with Worx to share with you these amazing tools, but I also get the opportunity to giveaway a set of the tools to one of my followers (head here to enter) and help them spread the word about their Power of X contest.
Seriously, so much good stuff in this post. Keep reading for all the details! 🙂
MakerX Tools – What are they?
The MakerX Tools from Worx are their new go-anywhere creative tools that make creative DIY’ing super easy.
The set consists of five mini-tools that all connect to a common, battery-powered 20V Power Hub, making them easy to use anywhere because they don’t have to be plugged in!
This line of tools includes an airbrush, angle grinder, mini heat gun, rotary tool and wood and metal crafter.
In addition to the five compact tools, the set comes with a generously sized travel bag and plastic case for all the rotary tool parts.
I am so excited to try these on my Power of X project!
The tool I’m most excited to try is the rotary tool. Can you believe we’ve never owned one before now?!
Check out all the attachments it comes with… so much creativity in a box.
The Power of X Contest – How to Participate
So, as I mentioned in the beginning of this post, I’m teaming up with Worx to spread the news about their Power of X contest that’s running now through January 8th.
This contest gives you the opportunity to show off your creative DIY project made using the MakerX tools for a chance to win up to $5,000!
Simply use your new go-anywhere Worx MakerX tools to create an X-shaped project and share it to Instagram, Twitter or Pinterest with a brief description and tag #PowerofX, #Contest and @WorxTools by January 8th.
It’s that easy! You can see all of the official rules here.
So grab your MakerX tools (they can be purchased online through Worx or on major retailers like Amazon or Lowe’s) and join me in making a creative X-shaped DIY project!
Or better yet, enter my giveaway over on Instagram for a chance to win a set!
Our X-Shaped DIY Project
For our Power of X project, we’re creating a wood XOXO sign!
The main sign will be built using the same method we used in this post, and the XOXO letters will be made out of vertical wood slats, each treated a different way using one of the MakerX Tools.
I plan to give the frame a “burn” effect using the heat gun, paint the back part of the sign with the airbrush, and then give the wood slats creative looks with the other tools.
It’s going to be such a fun project and I can’t wait to take you along as we try out all the tools while we make it.
