The easiest way to make your guests feel welcome in your home is by assembling and presenting them with a stocked welcome guest tray! Make sure you include these 12 essentials and they’ll feel utterly spoiled.

I always do my best to make my guests (especially the ones staying overnight!) feel special and cared for. One of my favorite ways to do that is to put together a little “welcome guest tray” for them that provides the with some of the essentials they’ll need while staying over.

Included in this welcome guest tray are items for the bathroom, bedroom, and kitchen – as well as a fun little note to say “Welcome!” I hope this tutorial helps you put together a welcome guest tray for your next overnight guests!

Assembly Instructions for Welcome Guest Tray:

BATHROOM ESSENTIALS

Begin by rolling up your towel and placing it on the left side of the tray.

Next, lean your tissue box on top of the back side of your rolled towel and then fold your hand towel or wash cloth and set it in front of the tissue box.

Fill a small jar with cotton balls, cotton swabs and a few disposable razors, and place the jar atop your folded wash cloth.

Next, place a bottle of pretty, nice-smelling hand soap in front of the folded towel and jar. I chose to include the new Softsoap® Shea & Cocoa Butter liquid hand soap on my tray, but I always place different scents in the kitchen and bathroom in case my guest wants to swap theirs out for a different one.

I placed the Softsoap® Wild Basil & Lime on the apron sink in our kitchen and I love how stylish the bottle looks with our brick backsplash!

The Softsoap® Peony & Plum smells AMAZING and went in our guest bathroom.

If you haven’t tried these new liquid hand soaps from Softsoap®, I’d encourage you to head to Walmart and grab one (or a few!) They’re easy to find on the hand soap aisle between the travel-sized items and the body soaps.

Or, you could grab one through this special offer from Ibotta and get cash back!

BEDROOM ESSENTIALS

Next up are the items your guest will use in their room. I like to include a book and a candle for them to enjoy during their stay.

Begin by placing a candle next to your hand soap and then a book in the remaining empty space towards the front of the tray.

KITCHEN ESSENTIALS

Lastly, you’ll want to add snack and drink items for your guest.

Place a bottled drink in the back of the tray, a few glasses and a snack on top of the book.

PERSONALIZE YOUR WELCOME GUEST TRAY

The final step is to add a hand-written welcome note for your guests. I simply put “Welcome friend!” on mine, but you could always personalize it more with their names and something you’re excited about doing with them while they’re over!

And that’s it! You’ve assembled an essentials-packed welcome tray for your coming guests. This welcome guest tray will make your overnight guests feel completely spoiled – I promise!
